I had no idea from the trailers that this was going to be a fish out of water story. (Or rather attractive naked man out of water)

When wandering unknown mysterious cities, it doesn't endear you to the locals if you attack their pets.

Fan service or how a hundred thousand shippers spontaneously came into being. But I have to say Pythagorus is completely adorable, and Jason seems pleasingly non-dickish. (For now at least)

The oracle's his mother isn't she?

They've released the Hunting lions. :D

Now my Greek mythology is very, very rusty but I'm pretty sure Minos is normally on the other side of the equation.

Not Pythagoras! No, he's too pretty to die!

He's being fed to a mythical monster in morning, let the man talk about his passion.

Those are some creepy & dodgy family dynamics. And oh look, the step(?)mother is probably evil.

Oh Pythagoras. It was a good idea.

OK, Minotaur reverting into man, was unexpected.

And Ariadne paints a huge target on Jason's back.

On the whole, I really enjoyed it. It was silly, and of no great depth, but it was fun, and I hope that it attracts some kind of fandom.

For the last couple of years, I've lost my fannish squee, but in the last couple of weeks it's come back with a vengeance. From having no TV shows I watch with any regularity, I'm completely and utterly in love with Sleepy Hollow, cautiously optimistic about Agents of Shield, amused by By Any Means, and now delighted with Atlantis.

I'm sure all of these shows will disappoint me, and break my heart, but for now it's nice to have my squee back.

Ooh. *finds torrent* *downloads* Well, I've seen it now. That was great! Thank you for alerting me to this show! :D

I'll be over here shipping Jason/Pythagoras if you need me.

I did watch it, and found it deeply ridiculous (but had fun counting the various funny anachronisms). I think it may ultimately slide off the bottom of the tv schedule, though, because Saturday is pretty crowded. I might keep watching to see how much they get wrong about Greek mythology -- which is so flexible that it's really hard to get things wrong, but I have faith.

But yes, the Oracle is totally his mother. Minos is evil, but maybe not as evil as the Queen (Pasiphae?).

I watched it and enjoyed it, but it didn't inspire fannishness per se.

I did recognise the slashy shiptease between Pythagoras and Jason, but it seems a bit... artificial.

And it also felt a little as if Alexander Siddig took a look at Anthony Head in Merlin and thought 'He has a good thing going there, I wonder if I can get me some of that'.

The clothing is prettier than in Merlin, though.
