(I am seasons behind on Numb3rs but my housemate insisted we watch that scene. It was *adorable*.)

What happened? I am familiar with that show from early seasons, but it lost out on DVR status a while ago. Now you have me all curious!

Colby and David had a bet on with Nikki (Megan's replacement in season five), whereby, the three of them have to turn up to Dinner on Friday, and the one who doesn't bring a date has to pay. Nikki's date storms out when it turn's out she once arrested his friend when she was a LA beat cop, and assumes that Colby and David have lost when they turn up with out dates.

NIKKI: Looks like we're going dutch tonight

COLBY: I'm going to have to disagree. I'd like you to meet my date tonight, Agent David Sinclair. Very good resume, very professional, he was just promoted to supervisor in fact.

DAVID: Cabernet please, and he'll have a chardonnay.

COLBY: You are such a gentleman.

DAVID: Thank you very much.

NIKKI: I can't believe this.

COLBY: I'm very hungry, you?

DAVID: Absolutely starving, the surf and turf looks absolutely delicious.

COLBY: But the shellfish will upset your stomach remember

DAVID: That's a good point. We'll have the [word I couldn't catch/recognise]

NIKKI: I'll have a vodka and soda with a twist. [BEAT] Actually, you know what, hold the soda. You know, hold the twist, just bring the bottle.

Textual rendering does not convey how absolutely adorable they were, and how the scene compels you to draw little sparkly hearts around the two of them. ❤♥♡♥♡♥❤
