Shwmae!

A belated thank you to everybody who took part in my poll, it's the largest response I've ever had to poll by a long way. (My Dwircle, overly interested in language?) More people knew the word than not, a surprising number (at least to me!) because they'd taken part in an Eidsteddfod, but it's still a long way from what you'd be able to call common knowledge.

On the heels of that post, the kids came home with a flyer for a beginners welsh class being held in Hay, and so, as of Thursday I am now officially learning welsh. :D

I've decided I'm going to post my welsh practice here, via Soundcloud, along with the written welsh and english translation, mainly to try and keep myself practising properly, and so I can have a record of my progress. I'll tag all the posts welsh lessons, for any who wish to follow them, although I do ask that those amongst my dwircle who do speak welsh go easy on my pronunciation at first, as although I'm happy, and desiring of being corrected, I do have extreme difficulties with pronunciation. (I cannot for the life of me pronounce chwech!)
