Icons by iPhone

I've been playing a lot in the last few days with the myriad photo editing apps I have on my iPhone. (A slightly embarrassing total of 33 apps I've categorised as Photography apps and a further 12 Arty apps) and today made a whole load of icons. I don't yet have an app which will allow me to dictate dimensions of 100px by 100px, so I upload the icon to flickr where I can either link the 100 x 100 thumbnail for uploading via URL or embed the thumbnail as below. (The very first icon that I fully screencapped, edited, & uploaded onto DW using my iPhone and the McDonalds wifi was my Amy one) Anyway, these are all free for the taking so long as you credit me. Apps used include - Camera+ [Which is currently my favourite, but for some reason is only available in the US store ATM], PictureShow, Plastic Bullet, and Percolator.

Oh wow. I love the...percolated flower? I kind of want to see if a style can be made out of the bigger version or something.

I really love the percolator app and it astounds me over and over again that an app costing £1.19 can give result like that.

You're welcome to have a bash at a style using that image, styles are a bit beyond me I'm afraid. ;-)

I wish one could get it for Linux, it looks so much fun! I wonder if the GImpressionist filter in Gimp could do something like that...?

These are so pretty! Very much my type of icon, so I intend to use a couple at some point. And I'm really impressed that you made them on an iPhone! Something to tell the icon makers sure that they need Photoshop ;)

Yep, I took all the photo's myself. I do have a tumblr blog which I post iPhone photo's to, but I've been a bit bad about updating it recently.

You were spot on about the camera in your pocket' effect. I've taken a couple of really lovely shots on occasional where I wouldn't have lugged my SLR about. I can even see the 'photo a day' thing happening, because the workflow of 'shoot & upload to Flickr' is relatively painless.
