I went to see Made in Dagenham tonight, and OMG this film was made for me.
It's a dramatisation of the 1968 Ford sewing machinists strike at the Ford Dagenham assembly plant, where female workers walked out in protest against sexual discrimination and the desire for equal pay. (Thank you wikipedia)
It's filled with baby feminists realising their own strength, and women supporting each other, and it aces the Bechdel Test.
There are so many bits that got me, ( cut for spoilers )
In conclusion I want Yuletide fic about Rita and the other women, and I think I might just have to try and vid it.
